CANNING JAR LABELS

What size label do I need for my jar?
Please see our size charts.
How many labels do I get with my order?
Labels are sold by the sheet.

 

ROUND LABEL SIZES

1.5 inch (30 labels per sheet) for small 1 oz favor jars lids

2 inch (20 labels per sheet) for regular mouth lids

2.5 inch (12 labels per sheet) for wide mouth lids

 

OTHER LABEL SIZES

Small hearts: .75" x .75" (108 labels per sheet)

Large hearts: 2.275" x 1.9" (15 labels per sheet)

Small ovals: 2.5" x 1.375" (21 labels per sheet)

Large ovals: 3.25" x 2" (10 labels per sheet)

Rectangles: 3.5" x 2" (8 labels per sheet)

Do your labels work on lids and glass jars?
Yes! You can add labels to the front of the glass jar or to the lid. Adding labels to the lid makes it easier since you won’t need to remove them once your jar is empty. Our labels will also stick to most of our fabric cloth toppers. Please note that labels won't stick well to rough fabric like burlap.
What type of label paper do you print on?
We print our labels on matte paper stock (either white or kraft paper). We DO NOT offer glossy labels. Our labels are adhesive and sold by the sheet in a variety of sizes and shapes. Just peel and stick—no cutting involved!
Are your labels easy to write on?
Yes! We print only on matte paper labels. Matte paper stock allows you to easily write on them with any marker or pen without smearing. But, we do recommend letting the ink dry a little before applying them to your surface.
Are your labels waterproof?
Our labels are paper, not vinyl. So they aren’t 100% waterproof. They're printed on a high end laser printer, so the colors won’t run and bleed like an inkjet print if they get wet. If a label is completely saturated with water, it will usually ripple or slide off of a jar.
Can your labels be used in the freezer?
Our labels can be used for freezer foods. However, since they aren't waterproof, the paper will ripple slightly due to condensation and moisture. Labels may not stick to certain plastics once put in a freezer.
Can I run your printed label sheet through my printer to add my own custom text?
No. We don’t recommend running our printed labels through a laser printer. Running a pre-printed label sheet through your laser printer may cause the art to melt or smudge. However, if you have an inkjet printer, you may be able to print on top of our labels successfully. We cannot guarantee printing results if you reprint on our labels. We cannot provide you with printing templates. We do offer custom labels if you want us to pre-print specific text on labels for you.
Are your labels permanent or removable?
Our labels have a permanent adhesive on them. The permanent adhesive is not repositionable once applied to your jar. If you try to peel a label up, it may tear or wrinkle.
What’s the easiest way to remove labels from jars?
Removing labels from jars or lids is easy. Just soak them in water for a few minutes. You could also put a damp cloth on top of them. Once the label is completely saturated with water, it will easily peel or slide off. The label will not leave any residue behind with this soaking method.
Can I put jars with labels on them in the dishwasher?
No, this is not recommended. Our paper labels are not dissolvable. So they may peel off the jar during the wash cycle and clog up your dishwasher.
What’s the best way to apply your labels to jars?
You can add labels to the front of the glass jar or to the lid. Adding labels to the lid makes it easier since you won’t need to remove them once your jar is empty. To add labels on your canned goods, please allow the jars to completely cool and dry before applying. DO NOT put labels on your jars before putting them into your water bath or pressure cooker.
How long do your labels last?
Typically unused label sheets can be stored for 1-3 years. This time frame may vary due to conditions such as heat, humidity, and other circumstances. Older unused labels may also lose their stickiness.
Can I purchase a digital file and print labels myself?
No, we only sell printed labels.
Can I give you artwork to print on labels for me?
Yes. We can print your supplied artwork onto our labels. Please contact us for details.

CLOTH TOPPERS

Will your cloth toppers fit on my jar?

Can I buy cloth toppers in a different size?
Sometimes we can do special orders for smaller or larger cloth toppers. Availability will depend on which fabric you need and how soon you need it. Most of our fabric is precut to 6", so we may not have extra fabric in stock to cut down. If you’re interested in a custom cloth topper order, please contact us.
Will your labels stick to the cloth toppers?
Our adhesive labels will stick to our cloth toppers except for the burlap. Due to the rough nature of burlap, the labels tend to peel up. It’s best to apply the label firmly on the fabric without trying to reposition it.
Do your cloth toppers fit on hermetic style jars?
No. Our cloth toppers won't work on hermetic style jars (jars with glass lids with hinges). They won’t fit properly over the hinges.

CUSTOM LABEL ORDERS

Can I see a proof of my label before you print and ship it?
We can do proofs upon request AFTER an order is placed. If you want a label proof, you can ask for one on the cart checkout page in the Note Box.

Within a few business days of your purchase, we will send a watermarked JPEG proof for you to review. Please review all custom label proofs carefully. The final approved proof is what will print. Once approved, the artwork cannot be changed. You can also request revisions to the label proof. Any minor revisions are $2 per round. We'll email a new proof within a few business days.

We will print and ship your order within a few business days of approval.

PLEASE NOTE: Colors on computer monitors may vary slightly from the actual printed labels. We DO NOT offer color matching services. We cannot guarantee labels will match existing printed wedding materials, etc. Also, colors will vary some on reprinted labels.

I like one of your labels, but I want some of the art changed? Is that possible?
We can adjust the text, colors, or graphics on any of my labels for an extra customization fee. Pricing starts at $2 for basic text edits and increases depending on the complexity of your request. Please contact us to discuss your needs, and we will give you a price estimate to create your custom label.
What’s the process for having a label custom designed just for me?
1. Please contact us to discuss your custom label. We will need to know what design you want, the label size, shape, and quantity of labels needed. We will give you a price estimate for the custom label design and printed labels within a few business days.

2. Once you approve the price estimate, we will email you a link to make a payment BEFORE any design work begins.

3. Within a few days of your purchase, we will send a watermarked JPEG proof for you to review. Please review all custom label proofs carefully. The final approved proof is what will print. Once approved, the artwork cannot be changed.

4. You can also request revisions to the label proof. Any minor revisions are $2 per round. We'll email a new proof within a few business days.

5. We will print and ship your order within a few business days of approval.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

• Custom fees are NOT refundable because you are paying for design work. If you cancel your custom order after we design your label, we will send a refund for the unprinted labels. But there will be NO refund on the custom design fee. Some basic labels are available with a pre-printed date. If you choose to have a date pre-printed, this is a "custom" label and cannot be returned or refunded.

• You will NOT receive digital art files to print yourself or to have another vendor print for you. Our designs are only printed on the products we sell. If you order a custom label, you will receive a low resolution, watermarked proof. We will mail you the printed labels. You will not “own” the design to print yourself.You will not be able to use pieces of the artwork for other marketing materials.

• We reserve the right to refuse any custom order request.

Can I return a custom label order?
No. Custom labels are not returnable or refundable unless we made an error. Any design or text errors on our part will be reprinted and reshipped for free. If we print a label proof as approved by you, or a label using the text you supplied for the order, you will need to make a new purchase if an error is found later. I need my label in a language other than English - is this possible?
Yes! We can use languages other than English. Not all of the fonts used on our labels come with all the various characters. Please contact us to discuss your request & let us know which label you wish to update.
Can I order reprints of my custom label?
Yes! Reprints on custom designed labels are always available for the printed sheet price. Please contact us to request reprints. Let us know the quantity you need, and we will setup a new order for you to purchase. If you have any changes to the artwork, there may be a revision fee.
Can you supply me with a digital file so I can print labels myself?

Yes! You can use our labels on items you sell at the farmer’s market! Our labels are perfect for short run canning projects like farmer’s markets since there's no minimum order. We would LOVE to see a photo of your finished product and your booth.

Can I change or cancel my order after it’s been placed?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your order. We often process and print orders quickly. If we've already printed a custom label order, you will not be able to cancel it or receive a refund.
Do you ship internationally?
We have unfortunately decided to stop world wide international shipping due to cumbersome regulations that vary by country. We currently only ship to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, & the UK. If you are in a non-EU country, you may contact us to see if we can ship to you also, although we cannot guarantee we will be able to.
What are your shipping prices?
We are currently offering flat rate shipping prices.

 

Orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage (formerly called USPS First Class mail) from the United States, Ohio.

United States: Flat Rate $4.50

Canada: Flat Rate $10

All other International orders: Flat Rate $12

What are your shipping and delivery times?
Most orders ship from the United States, Ohio within 3 business days after the order date. Labels mail in a rigid envelope so they won't get folded or creased. U.S. orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage (formerly called USPS First Class Mail) with tracking. Delivery typically takes around 3-5 business days to arrive at its US destination. Delivery times may vary and go beyond the estimated time frame, especially during peak mailing seasons such as Christmas.We cannot guarantee delivery by an exact date.

 

International orders mail via USPS Ground Advantage (formerly called USPS First Class Mail) mail in a rigid envelope. Delivery can take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive. International orders DO NOT come with tracking information to save substantially on shipping costs. International customers are responsible for duty fees and taxes imposed by their own country. Typical shipping times: Canada & UK 2 weeks, Australia 3 weeks. Orders may be delayed if they are held in Customs. Some orders may take over a month to arrive. Delivery times may vary and go beyond the estimated time frame, especially during peak mailing seasons such as Christmas.

Expedited processing and shipping is NOT available. Please order early if you need labels by a certain date.

Delivery dates are NOT guaranteed. We only ship with USPS Ground Advantage (formerly called USPS First Class mail), so we can only give estimated delivery times. Any mail delivery delays are outside of our control. Custom orders will NOT be refunded if they don't arrive when you need them. Please review all processing and shipping times before placing your order.

Is my order lost or delayed?
Tracking may not be immediately available for orders. If you don't see tracking information right away, please check back later. Sometimes tracking information will not be available until the package is delivered. Unfortunately, orders may get lost or delayed. If the USPS isn't able to locate the package, we can reship. If a package is delivered but stolen, you must contact your local post office and file a stolen mail claim.

 

International orders average 2-3 weeks to arrive. As of Nov 5, 2021, all of our International orders come with tracking. International customers are also responsible for any VAT, import fees, and taxes imposed by their own country. Orders may be delayed if they are held in Customs. Typical delivery times: Canada & UK 2 weeks, Australia 3 weeks. Some orders may take over a month to arrive. Delivery times may vary and go beyond the estimated time frame, especially during peak mailing seasons such as Christmas. If you don’t receive your order after a month, please contact us & check with your local post office to see if they are holding it.

Please make sure that your shipping address was correct when you placed the order. There are NO refunds for items not received from incorrect shipping addresses.

Can I have an order shipped to a gift recipient?
We can ship to a gift recipient. Please enter their address when you place the order. We do not include invoices with any orders. We can also include a handwritten gift note upon request.
My order was damaged in shipping. Can I get a replacement?
Please send us a photo of the damaged item(s) and envelope within 5 days of receipt. We can reship a replacement within a few business days.
